Exhibit Seven

I created this graphic for a variety of organizations to use on campus, but mostly for the Center for Women and Gender. The main tools I used in the graphic were the free transform tool, type tool, blend modes, rectangle tool, color and the gradient tool.
Purple is the color associated with domestic violence awareness month and so I wanted to create a powerful infographic with statistics using a gradient of purple. The different panels were created using the rectangle tool and the alignment was all horizontal - the proximity of the panels are very close, but I left white lines to separate the gradients of color for a bolder look. The profile of the women was originally black and using the soft light blending mode, it created contrast in each panel with a darker shade of purple. I implemented two texts and aligned the statistics to the right for a sharp and bolder look. The text used on the hotline number was different to provide contrast and make it easy for people to look at and remember.
